Our Small Acts of Kindness family includes over 450 volunteers. We couldn’t do what we do without their kindness and support. Bags of Kindness

The Bags of Kindness project, is in partnership with and funded by Hertfordshire County Council, reaching vulnerable residents including carers or anyone living with mental or physical health problems who need to feel supported and connected. Read more

Purple Pages information packs

Our Purple Pages information pack contains a comprehensive range of literature about services, support and activities provided by national, county and local organisations that are relevant and useful to older people and always with a telephone contact.  They are included in all of our gift bags. Our Warm in Winter gift bags help heat the person when they are struggling to heat their home. For some, our gift bags are a life saver, reaching those who are having to make the unimaginable choice between heating their home or buying food. Read more

Violet's Gift

Small Acts of Kindness and Violet’s Gift have been working in partnership since 2020, collecting, wrapping and delivering Christmas gifts to care home residents who have no loved ones. Read more

A Small Act

This winter, we will be sourcing, packing and distributing 12,000 Warm in Winter gift bags, at a cost of £35 to us, helping to heat the person, when they can’t afford to heat their home. This means 12,000 older people will be warmer in their homes, happier and more connected to their community, one small act at a time. We need your help to make this happen. Violet's Gift Fundraising resources

Violet’s Gift (add link to their website) and Small Acts of Kindness have worked in partnership over the last three years, to reach people in care homes at Christmas with no loved ones. With the help of all our amazing volunteers, 1000s of gifts are wrapped with a Christmas card, a note from the present wrapper and a letter to the recipient. These gifts are then made available to Hertfordshire care homes. Read more

On 6 April 2020, Captain Tom Moore raised an astounding £38.9 million for the NHS Covid-19 appeal by walking 100 laps around his garden. To honour him and his incredible achievements throughout his lifetime, everyone is invited to take on their own 100 challenge to help raise money for charity. Read more
