It is with great pleasure that we welcome Howard Morgan to the Small Acts of Kindness family as our newly appointed Trustee.

Chris Hamill, Chair of Trustees announced “As we enter our eighth winter of operations, I am delighted to welcome Howard to our Board and look forward to working with him as we continue our story of remarkable growth reaching more lonely and isolated older people each year.”

Howard brings a wealth of business experience to Small Acts of Kindness, established over many years in the property sector. He is a chartered surveyor and Founder and CEO of RealService a London based property consultancy. Howard is also honorary professor at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction UCL and has charity trustee experience from the Board of the mental health charity JAMI.

Howard said “I’m proud to be involved with a young charity that is so clear what it’s all about – “keeping older people warm and connected to their communities”. With the cost-of-living crisis there has never been a time when our work is more needed. As a trustee, I’m looking forward to bringing my business experience and passion for improving mental health and wellbeing.”

Our CEO Lynne Misner shared “We are thrilled to welcome Howard to our team. He joins us at a time when rising energy costs and increases to the cost of living mean that demand for our Warm in Winter gift bags is higher than ever before and more older people are facing the unimaginable choice between heating and eating. We have achieved so much in such a short time and we look forward to Howard being alongside us on the next stage of our journey.”
