This week our amazing volunteer family once again rose to the challenge and packed 300 ‘Here for you - Hertfordshire Libraries’ gift bags.  This is another new project in partnership with, and funded by, Hertfordshire County Council which sees us put our experience and expertise to good use, helping to connect more vulnerable people with their community.

We were approached by Hertfordshire Library Services to help them deliver a small project which will see 300 bags of toiletries distributed to vulnerable people, who are struggling due to rising costs of living, and will be run from South Oxhey Library.

Our CEO, Lynne Misner, comments ‘We are delighted to once again be working in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council to support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. Rising costs mean that many people struggle to afford basic household items for them and their families. Not only do these gift bags provide essential toiletries, but they also send a heartwarming message that help is there and that people are not alone.’

Each gift bag contains shower gel, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, bars of soap, a tube of toothpaste and toothbrushes.  Alongside the toiletry gifts there is also some information about advice and support available to help manage the rising cost of living, as well as online library services.  As always with every gift bag we pack, we include a postcard with a message from the person who packed it.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for helping us deliver this project.
