YOUR TIME

We simply could not do what we do without our volunteers and the kindness they give. We would be delighted to welcome you into the Small Acts of Kindness family and for you to join our ever-growing team of volunteers.

DONATIONS

Your gift means that we can continue to change the lives of some of the most vulnerable older people in our community. Our work is made possible by the generosity and support of our amazing donors and partners. Every gift large or small, one off or regular makes a difference and we thank you for your support.

PATRON

We are connecting communities with kindness and reducing loneliness. We invite you to join us on our journey, help us grow and invest in our future by becoming a member of the Small Acts of Kindness Patrons Club. Please contact us Lynne Misner on 01923 372717 for a chat about becoming a patron.

FUNDRAISE

Run, walk, jump, dress up, dress down, bake, sing, be silent – on your own, with your family, as part of a team or at work. Your fundraising helps us make a difference and is hugely appreciated.

LEGACY

Research shows that loneliness and social isolation are harmful to our health: lacking social connections can lead to an early death, posing the same level of risk as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Loneliness increases the likelihood of mortality by 26%. By leaving a gift in your will to Small Acts of Kindness you will be helping to reduce loneliness for years to come. If you would like to have a confidential conversation with us about leaving a legacy to Small Acts of Kindness, please call Chris Hamill, Chair of our Trustees on 01923 372717 or email him [email protected] Please click here to find out more.

STOCK

Every winter we source the stock for up to 10,000 practical gift bags. One of the biggest challenges we face is sourcing the stock that goes into these bags. Please get in touch if you can help us secure blankets, socks, hats, gloves, hot drinks, instant soup, mugs, scarves, pens, puzzle books, biscuits, chocolates, mince pies and other practical gifts. Please click here to find out more.

OUR FIRST HOME

We need a home of our own! A building where we can make the storage, packing and distribution of our gift bags, an end-to-end process. Stock in at one end and packed bags out at the other. We need a minimum of 1,500 sq feet of light industrial or office space. Ideally on the ground floor, with good access for deliveries. Somewhere warm and dry. Our preferred locations are: Watford, Three Rivers, Bushey, Borehamwood or St Albans. Please click here to find out more.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our corporate partners are cherished members of the Small Acts of Kindness family. Their help and support have no boundaries – they always surprise us with their kindness and generosity. We draw huge strength and confidence knowing that they are right by our side on our exciting journey. Without their support, our work simply would not happen. We invite you to join the Small Acts of Kindness family. Please click here to find out more.

WINTER FUEL PAYMENT

Do you receive a Winter Fuel Payment but consider that you do not need it? By donating your payment to Small Acts of Kindness you will be helping more vulnerable older people keep warm. We are always extremely grateful to everyone who donates their Winter Fuel Payment to us and of course to those who don’t yet receive these payments but who choose to make an equivalent donation instead. Please click here to find out more.
